A hologram which is produced by using electron waves is called as electron holography. To perform holographic measurement a high special and temporal coherence (low energy spread) electron beam is required. There are different categories of electron holography like High-energy electron holography in off-axis scheme which is used in transmission electron microscope and Electron holography in in-line scheme in which reference and object wave share the same optical axis. This electron holography more commonly used to study electric and magnetic fields in thin films because these fields shifts the phase of interfering wave passing through the sample.
