Gall bladder and bilary tract Diseases Gall bladder is a pear shaped organ situated beneath the liver which stores Bile. Bilary system comprising of Gall bladder and bile ducts ensure the transportation of bile produced from the liver to Duodenum in the digestion process. Functions of the bilary system include carrying away the waste from the liver to duodenum and breakdown of fats.

Few of the Gallbladder diseases include Gallstones, tumors and acute acalculous cholecystitis.

• Gallstones are the hard deposits of excessive cholesterol formed in the Gall bladder.

• Benign and malignant tumors can occur in the Gallbladder.

• Acute acalculous cholecystitis is the inflammatory disease associated with Gallbladder.
