An inhalational anaesthetic is a chemical compound possessing general anaesthetic properties that can be delivered via inhalation. Nitrous oxide, chloroform, and ether were the first universally accepted general anesthetics. Mainly 5 inhalation anesthetics agents are used in clinical practice these days: Nitrous oxide, Halothane,Isoflurane,Desflurane,Sevoflurane.
