Polymyalgia Rheumatica Treatment

The term “Polymyalgia ” refers to pain in many muscles. People face pain and stiffness in neck, buttocks and upper arms on both sides of the body by they undergo difficulty sleeping and doing daily activities. Causes of it may be genetic environmental factors, such as an infection. Treatment takes 12 months and above mainly including corticosteroids by which people feel better during intial treatment and can be relapsed for 10 years. Dosage may reduce on the results of ESR and C-reactive protein tests.

Polymyalgia Rheumatica is an inflammatory disease which causes pain and stiffness in the muscles. One can get relief from this by taking anti inflammatory drugs called corticosteroids. Polymyalgia Rheumatica can even cause headache, visual defects, eye sight problems, jaw pain and scalp tenderness, etc.
