Systematic Lupus Erythematous is also known as discoid lupus or disseminated lupus erythematous. An autoimmune disease occurs when the immune system attacks its own body. Symptoms can vary and can change over time. SLE most often harms the heart, joints, skin, lungs, blood vessels, liver, kidneys, and nervous system.

Systematic Lupus Erythematous (SLE) is also known as discoid lupus or disseminated lupus erythematosus.
