Such an interest in the establishment of the Academy, Dr. Medina sent 500 responses to a survey by mail were traced through. The response was overwhelmingly positive national and international levels. Organizational meeting for the establishment of the Academy of Operative Dentistry in Chicago on February 12, 1972 was held at the Sheraton Hotel, Blackstone Embassy room.
