Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC)

The AAAHC is a private, nonprofit formed in 1979. We are the leader in the development of standards to advance and promote patient safety, care quality and value for ambulatory health care accreditation by peer processes, education and research. An accreditation certificate is granted to organizations that are found to be in command with AAAHC Standards. AAAHC currently accredits more than six thousand organizations in a variety of outpatient health care facilities, including ambulatory community health centers, surgery centers, medical and dental group practices, medical practices at home, and managed care organizations and the Indian health centers and students, among others. We are also official accreditation organization for the Coast Guard of the United States. With a single focus on outpatient community AAAHC offers organizations a cost-effective approach, flexible and collaborative accreditation.
