American Agricultural Editors Association

The American Agricultural Editor’s Association was established in 1921at America. It was founded by a small group of farm magazines publishers who felt the need of such an organization. In 2010 AAEA celebrated its 90th anniversary. The AAEA served not only publishers, writers and photographers on the staffs of agricultural magazines of the nation, but also those in business communications positions in the food sector.

The AAEA provides avenues for learning through workshops, lectures, excursions and electronic conferences. It provides growth opportunities through leadership and enhanced capabilities through competition. He recognized some of those who have rendered distinguished service to agriculture, attracting speakers of national prominence and earned the attention and respect of Presidents and Secretaries of Agriculture US. In recent years he has created and continues to strengthen links between agricultural journalists in the United States and their counterparts worldwide.

Vitality and longevity AAEA is not so much a credit to its structure as it is to its members. People with ambition, hopes, fears, dreams, knowledge and talent. The people with similar professional interests willing to come together to share knowledge and enjoy the camaraderie.

Committee chairs are responsible for organizing the committee, in collaboration with staff to recruit members and direct the committee meetings, usually held by conference call. All committee chairs are responsible for providing general updates to members through articles in the Byline and providing Committee reports three times a year before the spring and the summer meeting of the Board of Directors, and the Board autumn meeting / conference call administration. Each committee should also have a co-chairman. Ideally, committee chairs and co-chairs should not be current members of the Board of Directors to provide leadership opportunities for the maximum number of members.
