The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy is the national organization representing pharmacy education in the USA. It is a democratic organization which takes the decision under the supervision of House of Delegates, Board of Directors and the Office of the Executive Vice President. The House of Delegates meets once in a year to discuss on major issues. The Board meets four times in a year to authorize policy and program implementation and to consider significant matters related to the operational and financial affairs of the association. Executive Vice President is responsible for the administration of the policies and programs. The association's staffs are responsible for all actions taken by staff members on the association's behalf. The main aim of this association is to advance pharmacy education, research, scholarship, practice and service to improve public health. All US pharmacy schools are the members of this association. AACP comprises of all accredited pharmacy schools and colleges accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education which includes 6400 faculty members, 63000 students and 5100 individuals pursuing graduate study. The association conducts a variety of programs and activities in collaboration with other national higher educational organizations which may be related to profession or any other health professions.
