America Poison control association is a national voluntary health organization established in 1958 that represents the nation’s 55 poison centres. The AAPCC supports poison centres in their public health mission to prevent poisonings, provide education facilities, conduct seminars and scientific research and treat individuals featured to poisoning from medications, environmental events, plants, animals, and or other material toxins. The Poison control association also supports the efforts of poison centres and interested individuals to decrease the morbidity and mortality from unintentional type of poisonings.
