Cyndee and Larry Weston are the proprietors of Claims Transit. Together, they established the American Medical Billing Association. Cyndee paid insurance claims as a senior claims examiner for quite a while preceding owning and operating her own medical billing business. Larry formerly owned and operated a computer monitor depot-repair-center. They have made a tremendous progress in the medical billing industry. As the needs of small billers are unique, they have founded the American Medical Billing Association (AMBA). AMBA’s mission as a medical billing association is to provide industry and regulatory education, networking opportunities for their members, to have the capacity to share information and ideas and to market their member's capacities and professional services as a group. AMBA's initial focus was on small, independent third party medical billers. They are centered on providing medical billers with opportunities to network and share data, thoughts and common goals to support others, to learn and proceed with the educational experience and to provide the only medical billing specialist certification exam (CMRS) recognized nationally by billers, coders, employers and other entities, which has been offered since the year 2000.
The American Medical Billing Association (AMBA) encourages and relies on member participation and input. AMBA is dedicated to helping its members become successful Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialists. The member portal includes medical billing resources, payer websites, small business administration, promoting, clearinghouses, supplier specialty information, free webinars, articles database, member forums, boards of trustees and much more. They provide many different services from helping billers understand their role and their education to developing products that help small billers with their education and consistence. Their National Medical Billing Advisory Board will provide with input, ideas and counsel to AMBA authority for the advancement of their association and their profession. AMBA was formed and is targeted toward providing assistance for doctor's office and independent professional medical billers with comparative needs, interests and objectives. They celebrated the sixteenth Anniversary in serving doctor's office and autonomous third party medical billers in 2014. There at the American Medical Billing Association, its members are their partners in success through support, participation, ideas and growth.Read More»
