AMRPA is that the national voluntary trade association representing sizable amount of quite five hundred patient rehabilitation hospitals and units (IRH/Us), hospital patient departments (HOPDs), and settings independent of the hospital, like comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facilities (CORFs), rehabilitation agencies, and skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). AMRPA researches, develops and distributes specialized tool kits to support and assist members with key issues, such as the Medicare Appeals Approach. AMRPA has incredible networking with professionals and leaders in medical rehabilitation. AMRPA represents and advocates the interests of medical rehabilitation providers to Congress and the Administration. Its members provide rehabilitation services to multiple health care settings that help patients maximize their health, functional skills, independence and participation towards society so they can return home and work, or an active retirement. AMPRA monitors the development and implementation of federal law, policy and regulations. It promotes the funding and conduct of research to enhance the field and to develop evidence- based practice and public policy. Prepares comments, letters of support/opposition and provider testimonials on legislative and regulatory acts facing medical rehabilitation providers. AMRPA supports members in their grassroots efforts to educate congressional representatives on issues of importance to the medical rehabilitation community. AMRPA provides its members with the knowledge & tools that successfully variate the challenges that are facing medical rehabilitation providers and adapt to a changing federal regulatory environment. AMRPA sponsored events provide a unique opportunity for the members to network with colleagues and the industry leaders also discuss issues of common interest.
