American Radium society

American radium Society was established in the year 1916, oldest society dedicated to the study and treatment of cancer, in Los Angeles, United States. Members embody radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, medical science oncologists and medical oncologists whom they promote through its annual meeting and academic publications. The ARS supported the annual Janeway Lecture for honor of Henry Harrington Janeway, a pioneer in radiotherapy. The primary Janeway Lecture, "Early expertise in radium Therapy", was given by the medical specialist James Ewing. The lecture is delivered at the society's annual general meeting with the lecturer delivered for their "outstanding scientific contributions". It Promotes the study of cancer altogether of its aspects. Its main aim is devoted to the study and treatment of cancer.
