In April 1958, the principal official ASH meeting was held in Atlantic City, NJ, where more than 300 hematologists assembled to talk about clinical and examination matters identified with blood and blood infections. Since that underlying meeting, ASH has played a dynamic and critical part in the improvement of hematology as a control. For over five decades, ASH has supported its yearly meeting, the head yearly instruction and logical occasion in the field of hematology, and has distributed Blood, the Journal of the American Society of Hematology, which is the most refered to peer-looked into production in the field.
