Argentine Association of Orthopaedics and Traumatology

The Association was founded May 8, 1936 under the name of "Society Argentina in orthopedic surgery" in order to contribute to the scientific development of Orthopaedics and Traumatology across the country, bringing together professionals dedicated to this specialty. On July 3 1982 changed its name to "Argentine Association of Orthopaedics and traumatology." In the medical advances in the field of orthopedics and traumatology, conducted in the country and encourage the study of the locomotor system in its biological, experimental, anatomical pathology, clinical, surgical and social. The AAOT seeks to promote nesting and specialized education through various academic resources, sponsoring the creation of scholarships, conferences, committees, meetings, celebrating Scientific Sessions. August 23, 1949 under the chairmanship of Dr Oscar Maróttoli, original name of the company "Argentine Society for orthopedic surgery" was newly named to "Argentine Society for Orthopaedics and Traumatology". July 13, 1982, under the chairmanship of Dr. Jerónimo Loray and in the direction of a Special Meeting of the Argentine Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology was founded under the laws running, as a continuation of the Argentine company for the work of Orthopaedics and traumatology and keep his statutes.
