Asian Society for Pediatric Research (ASPR) was formed in 2005, its First Congress was held in November 24-26, 2005 in Tokyo, Japan. They have been organizing the ASPR Congress annually since, Yokohama in 2006, Tokyo in 2007, Honolulu in 2008, Hangzhou in 2009, Taipei in 2010, Denver in 2011, Seoul in 2012 and Kuching in 2013. As a group of pediatricians dedicated to the overhaul for children through endorsing investigation, The society recognize the heinousness of their contest in Asia which has a inhabitants of more than 4.2 billion people, accounting for 60% of the world population. Most of them are offspring and young grownups, existing in 46 different countries and states, with a varied economic and social growth, giving rise to both chances and tests. The under-5-year old mortality rates of these 46 countries range from less than 2 to over 60 per 1000. Therefore the nature of the child health challenges will vary significantly from one country to another, demanding different emphasis on the focus of pediatric research to solve each country's issues. The simple aim of ASPR is to improve child health through promoting research in Asia. The society has many representative form different countries in Asia like, Bangladesh, China, India, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore etc. The main activity of the society is to organise conferences throughout the continent.
