The Parents Association for the fulfilment of Autistic People (APEPA) was established in 1975 currently this association has linked to more than 300 families. The association is a member of Autism-Europe and Co-founder of SUSA. The APEPA working on the following missions: Support people with autism by representing innovative research in that particular arena, Promoting development of the living conditions of autistic people, Raising political authorities and public awareness and Participation in regional, national and international sessions with the same goals. The association performs various activities like providing support to the families with autistic child, to get appropriate education, Promoting autonomy and accommodation in adulthood, and Encouraging specialized services for autistic people like monitoring, diagnosis, screening and developing individualized educational programs. APEPA participates at Plan Transversal Autism, the Handicap branch of AViQ, CWAS (Walloon Council for Social Action and Health) and High Council for Special Education. Autism influences the territories of self-governance, socialization and correspondence and worry in French-speaking Belgium, more than 10,000 individuals.
