Association of American Seed Control Officials

The Association of yank Seed management officers was organized in 1949. The primary national meeting, which was held in Kansas town by Seed Branch of executive department. The Association meets for the purpose of discussing the mutual issues or problems and concerns relating to the seed enforcement and administration every year. It’s the goal of AASCO to attain uniformity of seed legislation between member states and Federal agencies through unity of the membership. The objective of AASCO is to promote and to build the basic requirements of a state seed law which shall serve as guidelines for member states and also to foster uniformity of procedures and policies. To coordinate action and cooperate with member states on all seed matters. It also creates the sense of mutual understanding between members of association to other groups or organizations that are involved. Its also sponsors, endorses, instigates, evaluates and suggests seed research designed to standardize the competent and expedient methods of seed testing. It also improves the qualifications of all personnel engaged in seed control activities. The meetings of AASCO were started in the year 2010, completing 7 successful annual meetings. There are 12 committees supporting the association. It also provides accreditation to seed samplers under the Process Verified Program (PVP) of Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS). Society conference, meetings and events acts as an excellent bridge between the researchers across the globe. These meetings are wonderful global platform for knowledge exchange, sharing, networking and collaboration.
