The Human Genetics Society of Australasia was shaped in 1977 to offer a forum for the numerous disciplines accrued underneath the title of Human Genetics.
The HGSA is a full member of the worldwide Federation of Human Genetics Societies and locally they work closely with the Royal Australasian college of Physicians and Royal college of Pathologists of Australasia in addition to different businesses through the Pathology institutions Council.
