Board of Specialty Societies (BOS)

The Board of Specialty Societies  perfectly induced in 1984 as the Council of Orthopaedic Musculoskeletal Specialty Societies, gathers the bellwethers of musculoskeletal social orders to address issues of shared concern, for example, backing, sustaining therapeutic enlightenment, examination, and residency and association issues.

The BOS obliges as an asset and admonitory substance to the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Sodality of Orthopaedic Surgeons. In advisement, the BOS advances solidarity and joint effort between the claim to fame social orders and the AAOS.The BOS is made out of 23 musculoskeletal strength societies. The AAOS promotes orthopaedic research through advocacy, education, and recognition of excellence. Research activities and initiatives provide opportunities for musculoskeletal researchers through annual research symposia, clinician scholar development programs, orthopaedic research awards, advocacy events, and interaction with regulatory agencies to aid in the development of safe and effective orthopaedic devices and biologics.
