Canadian Hematology Society

The CHS is an expert affiliation established in 1971, whose participation incorporates a large portion of the hematologists in Canada. Our principle objectives are to keep up the uprightness and imperativeness of the claim to fame of hematology, by taking an interest with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in planning preparing programs for our successors, empowering and remunerating insightful research, and giving a discussion to correspondence and common backing for the majority of our partners in both group and scholarly settings. The principal yearly meeting of the Society was said to be held in the Richelieu Chamber of the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa on the twentieth of January 1971, with fifty-six individuals present. The draft local laws were exhibited by the official and affirmed. R. Kennedy Smiley was delegated as the primary president with Al Cousineau as VP, W. Corbett as secretary treasurer. October 29, 2014 CHS along with 11 other subspecialty societies released their first top 5 list for the Choosing Wisely Canada campaign. A total of 61 innovative references were prepared. Choosing wisely was a campaign to help physicians and patients engage in conversations about preventable tests, treatments and measures and to help physicians and patients make keen and active choices to ensure high quality care.
