The Cardiological Society of India (CSI) was conceived on the fourth April, 1948 at Calcutta The Cardiological society of Bengal was subsequently conceived on the eleventh April, 1946 with Dr. B.C. Roy, the incredible doctor (who later on turned into the Chief Minister of West Bengal) as its first President. Meanwhile the Silver Jubilee of CSI was held at Calcutta in 1973. Amid this time of 30 years, the hierarchical exercises of the CSI, the participation quality, research work, and investigative accomplishments - all had developed to a tallness that required a different meeting for the Society.
