China Association of Automobile Manufacturers

China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) is a social organization established in Beijing in the May of 1987, with the recommendation of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People’s Republic of China., It is a self-discipline and non-profit social organization, having the qualifications of a legal social organization. It is formed based on the fundamentals like equality and voluntariness, which consisting of enterprises and institutions as well as organizations committed in production and management of automobiles, auto parts and vehicle-related industries within the boundaries of China.
The Member’s Representative Association is the highest authority of CAAM for which the board of directors is instituted consisting of near 2000 member units. As the standing body of CAAM, the Secretariat is entrenched and constructed under which there were 12 departments, 3 management-oriented branches, 24 product-oriented branches and 1 branch for other things.
It contains follow-up analysis of industry economic operation, researches on enterprise reform, technological progress and assets reorganization as well as apprehending study of the implementation of policies and regulations. Researches are carried out in correspondence with major and hot issues of industrial development. In addition, it contains enlargement of the trend of economic operation in accuracy and discovery of the extending problems in operation to propose targeted solutions.
