Electrochemical society of Japan

Foundation occurred in 1933 to deliver scientific and industrial progress in the lines of electrochemistry and industrial physical chemistry. The number of members exceeds beyond 5200. The ordinary general meeting is held on February in Tokyo. In its journal, the Association publishes original articles and notes written in English or Japanese by authors active in the fields of electrochemistry and industrial physical chemistry, and in related industrial fields, along with reviews, speeches, research works, statistics and discussions aimed at the storage of new information and at continuing re-education. It aims at the following objectives- Research and Study on Electrochemistry, Collection and Offer of the data on Electrochemistry, Holding research meetings and Seminars on Electrochemistry, Grant for the scientists of Electrochemistry, Education of Electrochemistry, Co-operation with domestic and overseas organizations on Electrochemistry. The Conventions of the society are held in the spring and autumn of every year, are the most important prospects for members to declare and discuss the results of their research, and the huge number of members engaged in both research and engineering. The various branches also hold regional meetings which work primarily for the announcement of new research.
