The EHBE evolution was initiated by Tom Dickins, a lecturer in psychology at the University of East London. EHBEA supports all evolutionary accession to the study of human mind, behaviour. The society is dedicated to a broad, pluralistic and interdisciplinary perspective, which leads together all researchers applying neo-Darwinian evolutionary theory to the behavioural sciences, indulging human behavioural ecology, evolutionary psychology, cultural evolution and gene-culture co-evolution, human ethology, behaviour genetics, the correlative method, and evolutionary sub-disciplines of economics, medicine, population studies, archaeology, and other human sciences. EHBEA cheers rigorous science, with strong theoretical foundations and integration cross-wise disciplines, which it supports through the organization of conferences and workshops, and through administering small concessions.
The primary objectives of the society are (i) to coordinate EHBEA conferences, (ii) to publicize knowledge about European activities, collaborations, jobs and funding, on the EHBEA website and in EHBEA paperwork, (iii) to endeavour members research and travel grants, (iv) to promote and organise workshops and meetings to promote considering of evolution and human behaviour, facilitate research collaborations, and farther research, (v) to promote supremacy teaching of evolution and human behaviour in educational establishments, (vi) to boost the public understanding of, and engagement in, the field, and (vii) to enhance funds to support EHBEA activities. EHBEA endorses the key values of pluralism, rigor and integration in the sector of evolution and human behaviour, and organises its activities to endeavour to promote such values.Read More»
