The European Paediatric Orthopaedic Society was established in 1981, in Paris by a group of 5 paediatric orthopaedic surgeons. The first European Paediatric Orthopaedic Society meeting was held in Paris and was attended by 13 surgeons. At present the society has more than 300 surgeons spread over the world. EPOS last meeting was held in Rome, Italy with over 700 attendees. EPOS mission-To expand the quality of care of children with orthopaedic conditions. This motive is helped by increasing the communication between experts, surgeons dealing with the child, improving the education of those focused in the child care and sharing and difunding the advances in knowledge. Paediatric Orthopaedics is an expert service which provides surgical and non-surgical treatment for conditions affecting children.
