European Robotic Urology Society

The EAU Robotic Urology Section (ERUS) represents the current field in urological surgery in association with robotics. Through regular meetings, master classes and academic cooperation, we aim to bring together opinion leaders in the field of urologic surgery societies, with a focus on robot-assisted surgery. In 2004, 20 physicians convened in France to discuss the new field robot-assisted urology research. ERUS has since become a scientific platform for urologists interested in the cutting edge of robotic urology surgery for the urinary track system and research development. Recent annual meetings have attracted over several participants. In 2011, it also joined the European Urology as a section. This section is for urologists who are specialising in robotic urology surgery, on all levels. With our junior urology session, participants under the age of 40 can involve themselves with the basics of robotic surgery before learning in the involvement of the ever-changing urology subject. ERUS organises regular scientific meetings to discuss and give demonstrations through live surgery sessions in urinary tract system. These are associating with the section meetings, as well as EBU-accredited master classes that offer training at various levels. We gains knowledge and spread scientific information, and are developing specifications for robotic surgery training. ERUS regularly collaborates with the European society of Urology to offer 1 or 2-day intensive classes on one specific topic of robotic urology, such as prostatectomy, cystectomy or surgery on the upper urinary tract system.
