European Society of Surgical Oncology

European Society of Surgical Oncology was formed in 1981 to support surgeons who are members in advancing the science and practice of surgical oncology for the benefit of cancer patients through a range of activities like organising European biggest oncology Congress. ESSO have more than 20.000 members who gathered in surgical oncology community for updating and exchanging their knowledge. European Society of Surgical Oncology publish its own monthly scientific Journal namely Journal of Cancer Surgery. Mission of European Society Surgical Oncology is to support members of their association so that they can update themselves in the field of science and practice of surgical oncology for the benefit of cancer patients through a various activities including education, research and leadership in multidisciplinary care. They focus to represent the most established cancer treatment. To end or to fight against these diseases, ESSO will develop standards guidelines for cancer patients through its core values which include commitment, Quality of care by education, integrity and Research & innovation for cancer treatment. European Society of Surgical Oncology has set up some goals to complete in future in which education system has been included in which it will provide the educational platform for surgical oncology in a multidisciplinary environment. The education regarding the oncology will become a major partner of all specialists in all disciplines in oncology and they will try to establish general awareness regarding the oncology.
