~~The aim of promoting educational activities in human Ocularists, diagnostic practices of high standards, applied as well as translational research activities in the field of Ophthalmology, Association of European Ocularists – AEO is providing significant contribution in the field of Ophthalmology research and it is considered to be one of the most reputed Ocularists Societies in Europe. Eye Excellence offers a range of eye services including optical dispensing, specialist contact lenses ocular prosthesis and children’s eye health. Our in house optician and ocularist Kanti Fatania FBDO CL FBCLA, and is having more than twenty years’ experience having trained at Kingston Hospital, Surrey, St. Peter’s Hospital, Surrey and St. Thomas’ Hospital in Westminster. It consists of very light material, probably bitumen paste. Artificial eyes were constructed of such varied materials as gold, rock crystal, shell and colour stones. Pare later fabricated artificial eyes are made of glass as well as porcelain. The first in-socket artificial eyes were made of gold with colour enamel. These are crude, uncomfortable, and fragile and the production methodology remained known only to Venetians until the end of the 18th century, when Parisians took over as the centre for artificial eye-making but the centre shifted again, this time to Germany because of their superior glass blowing techniques. A German glass blower, Ludwig Muller —Uri, is credited with the development of fine artificial glass eyes.9 During the World War lithe supply of glass eyes from Germany to USA was halted. This Ocularists Society is having services all over 7 continents. There are numerous Ophthalmology societies worldwide, both national and international. However, AEO stands out to be one of the most renowned societies both in Europe or worldwide.  Some of These societies are working on specific topics such as Eye excellence, Specialist contact lenses, Paediatric eye care, Low vision aids, Optical dispensing, Visual field tests, Pre operative scans.
