The Hellenic Society for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (HSCBB) is incorporated in Athens as a scientific society. HSCBB currently assists over 600 members from several Universities and Research Institutes throughout Greece. The Hellenic Society for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics is carrying organized research scientists actively difficult in the multidisciplinary fields of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. HSCBB aims to promote investigation, preparation and education of this cutting-edge self-control at national level, and the participation of the society in international organizations. Main goals of HSCBB are the study, development and spreading of our discipline in a scientific, academic, technologic and industrial environment. The 7th Conference of the Hellenic Society for Computational Biology & Bioinformatics (HSCBB12) is co-organized by the Hellenic Society for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics jointly with the Institutes of Computer Scienceand Molecular Biology and Biotechnology of the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas and the Hellenic Center for Marine Research HSCBB12 will take place at the Foundation for Research and Technology. Selected abstracts will be requested for free of charge publication as a Special Issue to Computational and Structural Biotechnology Journal . The Conference, which is the main annual event of HSCBB. Aims at being a forum for researchers in the relevant fields from Greece, Cyprus and other countries to present their work and creatively interact for the establishment of scientific networks and collaborations. The Society may issue annals, scientific journals, conference proceedings or other printed material, where scientific activities of its members or the minutes of its board may be published.
