Indonesian Association Of Geologists

IAGI (Indonesian Association of Geologists) is a non-profit organization of the Indonesian geologists and anybody who has concerns to the earth issues in particular Indonesia. This organization was founded in 1960 and currently has more than 5,000 members. Members of the Indonesian Geologists Association comprised of the Ordinary, Extraordinary and Honorary Member of the provisions decided by the Central Board of Indonesian Geologists Association. Members of the Association contain of the geologists and other earth sciences such as geofisika.ahli expert volcanologists, geologists engineering and geologists working on the branches of geoscience more specific. As part of geoscience which has long been in Indonesia if we relate it to have been the establishment of department of geology of 1850 in Bandung, or with the birth of oil industry in the lake Said in 1885 and the mining of coal and minerals that are previously running more than a century ago IAGI birth can actually be said to be too late.
