IASB is an association of biotech enterprises that are alarmed with bioethical also biosecurity questions are upraised by synthetic biology, in addition to the scientific and economic prospects of synthetic biology. Synthetic biology is a new interdisciplinary area that embraces the application of engineering ideologies to biology. It targets at the re-design and fabrication of biological mechanisms and systems that do not already exist in the natural world. Synthetic biology combines chemical synthesis of DNA with developing knowledge of genomics to allow researchers to hastily manufacture classified DNA sequences and gather them into new genomes. Developments in the speed and cost of DNA synthesis are allowing scientists to design and synthesize revised bacterial chromosomes that can be used in the production of innovative biofuels, bio-products, renewable chemicals, bio-based specialty chemicals (pharmaceutical intermediates, fine chemicals, food ingredients), and in the health care sector.
