International Association of Chemical Thermodynamics

IACT has been installation to retain, and certainly to expand, the exquisite work of the previous IUPAC commission on Chemical Thermodynamics in organising the highest requirements in thermodynamics research and in recurring thermodynamic assets measurements; in promoting the important compilation, and dissemination and application of thermodynamic records, and in advancing the theoretical expertise of such properties. The importance of these portraits has been recognized by way of IUPAC which, at the IUPAC popular meeting in Ottawa in 2003, accorded IACT related corporation status. A major position of IACT is the maintaining of a biennial scientific conference, at which the Rossini Lectureship Award and Junior Award(s) are offered for excellence in chemical thermodynamics. IACT additionally encourages joint medical tasks. The organisation of IACT is formally set out in the charter, given below. Article I gives the Names and objectives, Articles II-IV describe club, Board of directors and officials, and Committees. ArticlesV-VII check with Amendments, Bylaws, and Mail Ballots. The Bylaws describe the duties of officials (Article I), Nomination and Election of officers, administrators, Counsellors and Non-balloting members (Article II), club (Article III), Dues and sales (Article IV), and Audit (Article V). Article VI offers with medical conferences of the global affiliation of Chemical Thermodynamics.
