ISPO is a worldwide multidisciplinary non- governmental association meaning to enhance the personal satisfaction for people who may profit by prosthetic, orthotic, portability and assistive gadgets. The International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO) was established as a non- governmental association (NGO) in 1970, in Copenhagen, Denmark. It became out of the International Committee of Prosthetics and Orthotics of the International Society for Rehabilitation of the Disabled which was later to wind up Rehabilitation International. Its members are prosthetic and orthotic (P&O) experts, orthopedic specialists, recovery specialists, physiotherapists, word related advisors, orthopedic shoemakers, medical attendants and biomechanical/restoration engineers. For more than 40 years has given a compelling stage to the trade and correspondence on all parts of the science, practice and training connected with the arrangement of prosthetic and orthotic care, recovery designing and related ranges. The Society now accumulates around 3,500 individuals in more than 100 nations.
