International Society Of Ethnoharmacology IES

The International Society of Ethnoharmacology (IES) encourages a discussion between everybody involved in native and traditional knowledge on medicine, food and toxic plants and their past effect in current and upcoming life. Ethno pharmacology is a early and wide research area of developing.  Ethnoharmacology term was first used in 1967 in the context of the study of hallucinogenic plants. In Strasbourg,1990 ethnopharmacology first congress Society was started and today is registered as a charity under the law of Michigan. International Ethnoharmacology Society are a small, collaborative, interdisciplinary group of experts – anthropologists,druggists,pharmacologists,ethnobotanists,phytochemists and others – all are involved in the study of world-wide use of medicines. International Ethnoharmacology Society mainly worried about accepting the use of medicinal plants in traditional society. We pursue to recognise the social and the pharmacological scopes the use of medicinal plant all over the Globe. IES organises regular meetings and promotes research, publications to offers multiple ways to exchange the knowledge between researches and anyone interested in Ethnaparmacology.
