Irish Geological Association

The Irish Geological Association is a non-profit organization, it was founded in 1961. it was formed by few professional geologists. The Irish Geological Association is open to all who are interested in geology in Ireland and beyond. Irish Geological Association members range from professional geologists to beginners of any age. Irish Geological Association holds roughly ten lectures a year, usually held in Dublin, with some in Belfast, Cork and Galway. There are about three weekend field trips a year and various day trips. Other events include Members nights and the AGM.

Irish Geological Association organizes several meetings in dublin regarding Geology and its related topics. Participation between workers is promoted in this Association meetings. Irish Geological Association provides knowledge about earth science and geology to the members who are continueing their research on earth science
