Irish Mass Spectrometry Society

The Irish Mass Spectrometry Society - IMSS - is an intentional society with the point of giving a gathering to experts of Mass Spectrometry in Ireland. The Society is controlled by an advisory group chose at regular intervals and intends to hold one entire day experimental meeting in May every year and if conceivable a half-day occasion later in the year. The initially meeting of Irish mass spectrometry clients was in 1987 when an extremely fruitful meeting was held in on May 28th UCD Belfield. In September 1993, a MS Users gathering was set up. An inaugural meeting was held in May 1994, a Society was framed and a panel set up. The name "The Irish Mass Spectrometry Society" was embraced at the 1996 AGM. The Society was reactivated in 2007 after a couple of years of lethargy after the AGM of 2003. The Society is an Institutional Affiliate of the International Mass Spectrometry Foundation, Organizers of the IMSC meeting which occurred in Geneva in August 2014.
