The main objective of the Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (JSOG) is to work for the progress and development of obstetrics and gynecology and to contribute to the welfare of mankind and society. As a dedicated group of experts, the mission of this group is to work for the happiness of women and also of the unborn. This group reacted to the declining birth rate in Japan, supported the perinatal care system in Fukushima, tried to solve the problem of adverse effects of the HPV vaccine, prepared for the new specialist system and played a educational role in the ethical issues of reproductive medicine. He also worked to increase the number of new obstetricians and gynecologists, to improve their working environment and also to establish appropriate regional medical systems of obstetrics and gynecology. The mission of the Society is to promote excellence in the practice of obstetrics and gynecology and to advance the health of women through leadership, advocacy, collaboration and education. The SOGC has over 3500 members, made up of obstetricians, gynecologists, family physicians, nurses, midwives and allied health professionals working in the field of sexual and reproductive health.
