Korean Society of Gene and Cell Therapy

This time is introduced to as "Korea Society of Gene Cell Therapy." English name is "The Korean Society of Gene and Cell Therapy" is called and referred to as the English abbreviation KSGCT. The time is basic research, drug development, preclinical studies and clinical trials and commercialize all relevant research and development and cooperation between supply and Member of knowledge to support the commercialization of successful gene cell therapy including up phase of the gene cell therapy field by contributing to activate the gene and cell therapy research aims to contribute to the revival and improvement of public health science, technology and industry.  

In September 2016 Gene Therapy Institute was established and committee formed (Chairman: Prof. Kim, Sun - Young). First Gene Therapy Society Steering Committee was established; Ministers discussed, including Society / Organization. In October, the Second Gene Therapy Society Steering Committee was established; determined to conduct the first president election. The first president elected (Chairman: Prof. Kim, Sun - Young), executive configuration, the inaugural meeting held in preparation. In December, the Korea Society of Gene Therapy is establishment. Inaugural Meeting (No. 310 COEX conference center) and the 2007 business plan announced. In April, the first workshop is organized (18/04/2007). That is “Blood Diseases and Gene Therapy" (Seoul National University Children's Hospital lecture room 2). In August, the Second Workshop (24/08/2007),”Neuropathic pain" (Asan Medical Center Asan Educational Researcher 1st floor Auditorium); In September, The 3rd Workshop (09/12/2007), "How to genetically engineer stem cells" (Seoul National University Hospital Clinical Research Institute Auditorium).
