The Latin American Thyroid Society is a charitable civil association of unlimited duration set up in 1975, with headquarters and legal domicile in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Fundamental point is to advance learning and research of the thyroid gland and its illnesses and to promote fundamental and clinical research and enhance learning of the thyroid gland and its infections. For that reason, the Society sorts out and supports scientific meetings and courses; advances conferences, symposiums and publications; stipends grants for extraordinary exploration commitments to the investigation of the thyroid; and keeps up associations with other national and global scientific societies. From September, specialists and society will have another wellspring of data in the territory of endocrinology, particularly on the thyroid gland and its infections. With the point of growing its correspondence channels, the LATS has quite recently propelled a fan page on Facebook. To check the International Day of Thyroid, celebrated on May 25, the Department of SBEM (Thyroid of the Brazilian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism) arranged a progression of mindfulness battles and direction on thyroid infections and its issue. This year, the center was the wrong utilization of thyroid hormones. This society recently organizes their 27th Annual Meetings in Coquimbo, Chile.
