Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society

Pediatric Endocrine Society was established in the year 1971 and has its headquarters vested in downtown Washington, D.C., the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other important organizations that impact science and health policy. The PES has more than 1300 members representing the multiple disciplines of Pediatrics Endocrinology. The members are committed to research and medication of children with pituitary and adrenal, endocrine disorders; reproductive, bone, growth, thyroid, diabetes and obesity. The Society encourages the promotion by continuing education of its membership. The mission of PES is to provide care to children and adolescents with endocrine disorders and the vision works with certain standards to achieve success like to become the North American medical organization in the field of pediatric endocrinology that is the most supportive of education, research, and advocacy, become the leading source of information for families, be the most valued by paediatricians and other healthcare professionals, to be the most respected by healthcare decision-makers and last but not the least to be most recognized as a home for the professionals and become a voice of pediatric endocrinology. In order for the society to accomplish its perception, the following circumstances must be attained over the next coming years such as the society which develops and disseminates resources that facilitate optimal delivery of care to children and adolescents with endocrine disorders, as the society which advances the discovery of knowledge that improves the health of children as well as adolescents with endocrine disorders, as a society which leads in promoting recruitment and high quality training of new pediatric endocrinologists, as a  the society which provides education that increases scientific and routine-based knowledge of pediatric endocrinology. PES facilitates communication and collaboration among members and those who interested in pediatric endocrinology, the society advocates for policies that optimize care delivery and advance research in pediatrics endocrinology, the Society has the resources to achieve its strategic objectives. The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism (JCEM), Endocrinology, Molecular Endocrinology, Hormones and Cancer, Translational Endocrinology & Metabolism (TEAM), The Journal of the Endocrine Society (JES), Endocrine Reviews. To update the scientific world about the recent research activities through current press releases, press release archives, ENDO annual meeting, scientific statements, media webinars educational and clinical practices, campaigns, events media involvement and full community participation are the initiatives taken by this society.
