Manchester University Criminology Society target is to bring together any student studying or with a keen interest in the criminal justice sector of the law. Academic society target to offer opportunities to learn new things in the field of criminology. MUCS carry in client speakers from a range of criminological areas. In recent years we have organized workshops with one of Wales Chief Firearms Officers and even ex-offender from the Strangeways Riots. This year we will strive to give talks that are just as engaging for you as students with an active interest in the criminal justice system.
The Students’ Union guidance Service is a free, confidential service where students can get information and provide guidance on personal and academic issues. It is run by professional Advisors who are independent of the University.
Students often seek guidance about academic issues such as claims, complaints and ordered hearings. Students can also receive financial guidance regarding student finance, benefits and general hardship. We also offer advice on general wellbeing including issues such as sexual health and discrimination.
