Marine Technology Society

The Marine Technology Society was started in June 1963 to administer members of domain, government and trade a typical forum for the exchange of knowledge and concepts. Its guiding purpose is to promote awareness, understanding, advancement and application of marine technology. Today, MTS might be a growing organization, jactitation a membership of firms, institutions, individual professionals and student’s administrative unit of measurement ocean engineers, technologists, policy makers and educators. Its mission is to facilitate a broader understanding of the connectedness of marine technology to wider international issues by enhancing the dissemination of marine technology information. Promote and improve marine technology and connected tutorial programs .Advance the event of the tools and procedures required to explore, study and any the responsible and property use of the oceans. MTS’s long-range vision is to be “The leading authority and advocate for marine technology and resources whereas promoting member success and public understanding”. In its childhood, the society developed its technical committee’s structure and entailed a minimum of 1 annual conference and peer-reviewed publications. Early ball-hawking Committees confined Underwater Photography, Marine Biology, submerged Vehicles, Education and Careers at intervals the Marine Sciences, Oceanographic info and information, Oceanographic Instrumentation, and Mineral Resource. Throughout its history, the leadership and membership of the society have come from varied marine and oceans backgrounds. With captains of trade to admirals at intervals the Navy among its members, the Marine Technology Society has provided a broad vary of services, supporting a massive array of ball-hawking needs. MTS collectively provides opportunities for school students at institutions of higher learning to network with each other and with ball-hawking members through its many Student Sections, each of that's guided by a faculty councillor.
