The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) was founded in the 1960's. Since its inception, NACCHO has sought to enhance the public's health while adhering to a set of core values: equity, excellence, participation, respect, unity, leadership, science & innovation. Today, NACCHO is comprised of over 2,800 Local Health Departments across the United States. Together, we form as group to focus on being a leader, partner, catalyst, and voice for changing for local health departments around the nation.
NACCHO is organised by our 27-member Board of Directors, comprised of local and tribal health officials from over all the country. All of our board members have been Selected by their peers.
