National Association Of County & City Health Officials

The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) was founded in the 1960's. Since its inception, NACCHO has sought to enhance  the public's health while adhering to a set of core values: equity, excellence, participation, respect, unity, leadership, science & innovation. Today, NACCHO is comprised of over 2,800 Local Health Departments across the United States. Together, we form as group to focus on being a leader, partner, catalyst, and voice for changing for local health departments around the nation.

NACCHO is organised by our 27-member Board of Directors, comprised of local and tribal health officials from  over all  the country. All of our board members have been Selected  by their peers. All of our programs  and events are overseen by various NACCHO Committees gathered of staff members from Local Health Departments throughout the country.
