NESOG was built up in 1989 with responsibility of exceptionally energetic group of Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Prof. D. S. Malla, Prof. S. M. Dali, Dr. Bhola Rijal, Dr. Annapurna Shrestha, Dr. June Thapa, Dr. Mahodadhi Shrestha, Dr. Swaraj Rajbhandari and all the well-wishers of NESOG from abroad including Prof. H. Soma from Japan, late Prof. S. S. Ratnam from Singapore.
Without further ado NESOG is working with government, NGOs and INGOs to elevate the status of conceptive wellbeing of Nepalese ladies as an autonomous, non-benefit arranged proficient association, comprising of 15 official individuals in a sum of 262 individuals other than 9 privileged individuals.
