It is voted in 1995 to participate in the National Christmas Tree Association Tree Industry Partnership. The mission of this is to promote real Christmas trees from promotion & improvement. North Carolina Christmas tree Association will contribute to the achievement of the Tree Trade by providing ethical, professional, and visionary leadership. This tree industry is ranked second in the nation for Christmas tree sales annually and products over 20% of the actual Christmas trees grown in the US. 98% of all species grown in North Carolina signify Fraser Fir Trees. North Carolina has above 1,300 cultivators making Fraser Firs on an estimated 40,000 acres. They chose for the official White House Christmas tree twelve times i.e. 1971, 1973, 1982, 1984, 1990, 1993, 1995, 1997, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2012. The Fraser fir Christmas tree is the best popular Christmas tree in North America and in Islands, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Bermuda, and other points all over the world. Making the best tree for the family that nature and cultivate can provide takes much time and effort. It is a hard and time taking process, yet Christmas tree cultivators approve it is worth it when their trees become the decorative centrepiece of the home during the holiday season.
