North Carolina has above 1,300 cultivators making Fraser Firs on an estimated 40,000 acres. They chose for the official White House Christmas tree twelve times i.e. 1971, 1973, 1982, 1984, 1990, 1993, 1995, 1997, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2012.
