Nurses Hypertension Association (NHA) was incorporated on March 1991. It is also known as Nurses Hypertension Society.  It has become part of the British Hypertension Society (BHS) after the BHS decided to invite the full members of the society from the nurses working in the field of cardiovascular disease and hypertension. The mission of the Organization is to promote the advancement of knowledge and dissemination the information regarding hypertension findings and allied vascular disease.   This acknowledges the shift of care towards specialist nurses, particularly in primary care. In the present economic environment, it makes good business sense to have one united organisation.   It is primarily a research and scientific organisation it also provides information and guidelines for health professionals. This contains all the information up-to-date information on high blood pressure for health professionals in the UK.  It aims to provide an international forum for research development, communication & education to the nurses taking an active interest in hypertension.
