Pancyprian Association of Alzheimer's Disease

The Pancyprian Association of Alzheimer's Disease was started in the year 1996 in Cyprus to create awareness among the Cypriot population about Alzheimer and Dementia diseases. PAAD members build a strong alliance between the Pancyprian Alzheimer Association (PAA) and the Cyprus Ministry of Health to achieve their goals. During this time period, President of Pancyprian Alzheimer Association actively participates in a Multidisciplinary Committee to deal with Alzheimer issues, which is being organized by the Ministry of Health. This Association works on a local, national and global level to take care and support for peoples, those who are affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. PAAD is the non-profit organization, which is an international funder for Alzheimer's research to accelerate advanced treatments, preventions and a cure to the Alzheimer disease. Moreover, September 2016 is marked as the World Alzheimer’s Month. On this day, they arranged fifth global meeting to raise awareness and challenge the black mark that surrounds dementia. The theme for this global meeting is “Remember Me”. Alzheimer associations member from 60 countries are taking part in this year meeting.
