Polish Society of Orthopedic and Traumatologic was established on November 3, 1928 in Poznan. Since 1928, it was founded as Polish Society of Orthopaedic. Founder of this Society was Ireneusz Wierzejewki, Henry Cetkowski, Michael Grobelski, Wiktor Dega and Fransic Raszeja. It brings along orthopedists doctors, other specialties doctors inquisitive about the problems of orthopaedics and traumatology. The 1st conference of the Polish Orthopaedic Society was held on November 17, 1928 in Poznan. The first editors of the magazine were and Adolf Wojciechowski and Ireneusz Wierzejewski Poznan from capital of Poland. The journal publishes case reports of surgical technique, original papers, scientific conferences, knowledge, orthopedic, image, reports from conferences, study tours, reviews of books, controversial articles, letters to the editor and messages. It's a scientific series which are divided into systematic sections of specialties. These Society works with various sections are: Section of Surgery, Shoulder and Elbow, Section of Hand Surgery, Section Knee Surgery, Arthroscopy and Sports Traumatology, Section Metabolic Diseases of bone tissue, Section of Orthopaedic Oncology, Section of Pediatric Orthopaedics, Section Reumoortopedii, Section osteosynthesis, Section Spondyloortopedii.
