Society for Adhesion & Adhesives

The Adhesion Society was sorted out of the perceived requirement for a multidisciplinary gathering to talk about attachment issues. In February 1978, the "Call for Papers" was issued reporting that the inaugural meeting of The Adhesion Society would be on March 20-21, 1978, at the University of Akron. There were eight specialized presentations made to around 50 participants. Those present confirmed the hierarchical arrangements for the new Society and get its advancement under way. The rest, as it's been said, is history. The 30th Annual Meeting of the Society was a point of reference in our association. Another "History of the Adhesion Society, 1977-2007", incorporated by Guy Davis, was accessible. Three of our longstanding individuals, Jim Wightman, Guy Davis and Lou Sharpe, thought back about past gatherings, intriguing occasions and how much the Annual Meetings have changed in both size and number, and subjects of composed sessions advertised.
